This project was created for my Adobe Illustrator class at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.   The creation began as a sketch which was then scanned on a printer and then translated into a digital format using AI.  The story behind the design is that during the time of inception, there was controversy around Black women wearing bonnets in public.  It was a public debate within the Black community that brought up issues of respectability politics and the policing of women's body.  My position in the debate is that we should not police Black women's bodies, and that they should be able to wear whatever they please anywhere they please.  This was one of my favorite projects to date because it was the first time I used my talent as a graphic creator to make a political statement.
